Hero

the Hero expresses a deep psychological aspect of human existence. He can be seen as a metaphor for the human search of self-knowledge. Joseph Campbell outlines three steps of the hero: separation-initiation-return. He emphasizes the hero not only conquers the problem, but returns to society to "bestow boons on his fellow people." (Thousand 30).
